22 Things I learned in 2013:

1. I'm definitely not cool enough for snapchat.

2. I have a relationship with my swiffer.

3. Change is hard. 4. And even harder for my husband. 5. Never say owning a dog is "just like having a child!!!" around someone who actually bore children. 6. Google is an encyclopedia for information on yellow labrador female puppies. Named Sasha. 7. Sometimes all you have to do is listen. 8. People are kind. For all the wrong reasons. And for all the right reasons. 9. If you combine two commonly used food terms, consumers will kill someone to eat it. Cronut: not a croissant, not a donut. A sweet, buttery reason to stand in line for 3 hours. 10. Ignorance is still bliss. 11. The government still doesn't know how to use the internet. 12. The friends you gossiped with, braided hair with, partied with, slept in a twin size bed with, and complained about practice with are now mothers. And they're great at it. 13. When one life ends, another begins. 14. Actions really do speak louder than words. 15. Coffee tastes better every year. Every day. 16. Pinning doesn't mean what you think it means. 17. We're only one Happy Meal away from the end of humanity. 18. Be kind to others, and they will be kind to you. I promise. 19. My mom continues to rock. 20. My husband continues his reign as my best friend. Sasha currently weighs in at #2. 21. We all set our New Year's resolutions and personal promises that may or may not remain attainable. However, one thing I know is certain. If we, as human beings, do not take time to take care of ourselves, i.e. eat well, exercise to prevent and cure injury, illness and disease, and practice a positive mantra, then gaining happiness is an unheard of concept. And if we're unhappy with ourselves, how can we live and do for others? 22. Filtered pictures are the shit.

Five!

On my drive to work this morning, it dawned on me that today is November 14th. Which means that November 1 was 13 whole days ago. Which means that Green Living’s Fifth anniversary just came and went.
